Saturday shop assistant

Blooming Fruity, Banks Parade, Haddenham

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person with excellent customer service and retail sales skills, to help with the efficient running of our busy community shop on Saturdays.

THE JOB

Your primary role will be to serve customers in a confident and friendly manner, providing an excellent service to our customers. You will also be asked to deal with deliveries (which involves some heavy lifting); replenish, promote and display product lines to maximise sales; ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the shop; and deal with stock rotation. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Ideally, you will have experience of working in a retail environment, with cash handling and EPOS/till experience; demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills; work well in a team; and remain calm under pressure.

Training will be given on the shop’s EPOS system. You will work with other staff members and volunteers and will report to the Shop Manager. This will be a busy but enjoyable role that requires the ability to manage a range of responsibilities.

The role is 6 hours per week worked on Saturdays.
